God is me

Copyright 2015 by S. W. Paul Wyszkowski

The thing is, Prickles, whether you believe or do not believe in God matters to the extent that it affects your capacity for appreciation and enjoyment of life. (Prickles is a genius hedgehog I live with - I can discuss anything with her and expect pungent commentary). In any case, the God you do or do not believe in is an idea of your own.

However, whatever may actually be the case, there is directly and immediately accessible evidence that you cannot fail to consider (well, actually you can, at your peril) and that evidence is you. "Me?" Prickles is astonished. Yes, how do you explain yourself to yourself? An illusion? Whose? Or, more reasonably, a manifestation of the source of all being - what people usually refer to as "God"?

"You mean I'm God?" asks Prickles bewildered. No, no, no. Wrong formulation. But whatever God may or may not be, Prickles has to be part of what God is. "Awesome," she says. Precisely.
